Prior to the event, the Official Major League Baseball Rules will be used with the following notations.  Tournament Director reserves the right to modify rules and game schedules in the best interest of the tournament.

1: Protest Fee $100.00 cash (on rule interpretation only)

2: Home Team will be determined by coin flip, and will be required to keep the official book. High seed will be home in team in play-off round.

(a) Start Time is noted after Umpire Plate meeting. The inning ends on the last out.

3: Time limit 9U -12U 6 innings 1 hour 50 minutes,   13U and up 7 innings 1 hour 50 minutes . IF TOURNEY IS ON SCHEDULE TIME LIMITS MAY BE DROP IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

4: Teams may chose Line up. Must be declared before start of each game.

(a) Bat 9 - Re-entry rule applies

(b) Bat 10 - Re-entry rule applies free defensive substitution

(c) Bat Line Up free defensive substitution

(d) No DH Batter allowed 8U-14U   ///   14U and under no Bat Restrictions (example 14U can swing -8 Bats)

5: No Bat Boy or Ball chasers allowed on field

6: No Metal Cleats ages 8U-12U  (Penalty replace cleats upon discovery)

7: No Pre Game infield warm up.

8: (B) General Statement Concerning Balks: Umpires should bear in mind that the purpose of the balk rule is to prevent the pitcher from deliberately deceiving the base runner. If there is doubt in the umpire’s mind, the “intent” of the pitcher should govern. However, certain specifics should be borne in mind: Straddling the pitcher’s rubber without the ball is to be interpreted as intent to deceive and ruled a balk. With a runner on first (1st) base, the pitcher may make a complete turn, without hesitating toward first (1st), and throw to second (2nd). This is not to be Interpreted as throwing to an unoccupied base. In age divisions 9U & 10U, pitchers should be allowed some leniency in regards to balks. Pitchers should be called for all major violations and warned for minor violations that do not affect the outcome of a play. In age divisions 11U – 18U, balks shall be strictly enforced without warning

9:Extra Innings, The International Rule for extra innings is in effect. To start a extra inning, the visiting team places the last batter to complete an at bat in the previous inning at second base. Play resumes until three outs are recorded. To complete the extra inning, the home team places the last batter to complete an a bat in the previous inning at second base. Play resumes until 3 outs are recorded or the home team takes the lead. WILL NOT APPLY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

10: Courtesy Runners, Can be used at anytime for the pitcher and catcher. Must be someone not in current line-up. If everyone is in the line-up, then the last recorded out can run. A courtesy runner can run once per inning.

11: Pitcher :  Manager has 1 free trip to the the mound each inning. The 2nd trip pitcher must be removed. Once a pitcher is removed and can not return to the mound in that game.

12: Adverse Weather ; Games will be played unless Umpires or Venues closes fields. The format and time limits may be changed to continue on weather delays.

13: Whenever a tag play is evident, runners must slide, go around or seek to avoid contact with the fielder
and / or catcher. Attempting to jump, leap, or dive over the fielder and / or catcher is not an act of
avoiding contact. Malicious contact shall supersede all obstruction penalties.
Rule 8.04.D Penalty: Runner shall be called out and may be ejected from the game at the umpire’s
discretion.
Rule 8.04.D Comment: When enforcing this rule, the umpire should judge the runner’s intent. If the
umpire adjudges that the contact was unintentional, then the runner shall only be called out. If the
umpire adjudges that the contact was intentional and / or malicious, then the runner shall be called out
and ejected from the game

14: Teams may play an official game with an eight (8) player line-up. If a team plays with an eight (8)
player line-up, an out shall be declared for the ninth (9th) position in the batting line-up each turn at bat.
Rule 8.03.E Approved Ruling: Any player (s) arriving after the game has begun, shall be added to the
bottom of the batting line-up.

15: Managers are responsible for players, coaches and fans.

16: Game called : For a scheduled six (6) inning game, if three (3) innings have been completed or
home team has scored more runs in two (2 1/2) innings. For a scheduled seven (7) inning game, if four (4) innings have been completed or if the home team has scored more runs in two (3 1/2) innings

17: Tie Breaker Rules In Pool Play , Head to Head , Runs Allowed , Runs Scored , USSSA Points , Coin Flip

18: Mercy Rule

a  6 innings games (15) 3rd Inning, (8) 4th Inning

b  7 innings games (15) 3rd Inning, (12) 4th Inning (8) 5th inning

19: Ejection : If a Manager or Coach gets ejected he must remove himself from the field of play. No contact with team, coaches or parents will be allowed. It will be up to the Tourney Director if ejected person can coach the next game.

20: All Teams Must Be At Their Schedule Field 1 Hour Prior To Game Time. Games May Start Up To 1 Hour Earlier Due To Forfeits Or Slaughter Rules... Please. Print All Rules And Pass On To Coaches And Parents.
